The Price of your cake depends upon a number of elements:
     *  The size of the cake.
         The most popular sizes are 6 inch and 8 inch round cakes. A  6 inch   cake will serve 12-15 guests and an  8inch cake,  24-             30 guests. Obviously for Birthday cakes and Wedding cakes, you may wish to have more  than one tier - the                                   most popular two tier cakes are 8 inch and 6 inch .
     * Style of decoration
          At 48 Bakes we can create either fondant-decorated cakes, or buttercream cakes.
          Fondant-decorated cakes are slightly more expensive as there are more costly ingredients and there is a specific skill level                 required .
          All the fondant cakes have a layer of white or milk chocolate  ganache underneath the fondant, this gives a                                     smoother finish. If you would prefer a buttercream layer underneath your fondant , please mention this when ordering.

      * Number of Decorations

         The number of decorations on your cake will also impact on the cost, the basic  price of the c cake will include a basic level of          decorations . If you want a hand made model or sugar craft  flowers, chocolate brownie hearts . You may also want a topper           on a buttercream cake or an embossed cake board on a fondant cake, with a Happy Birthday message .

         

          Single Tier Celebration Cakes

          Example, prices for a 6" celebration cake range from £65 for a simply decorated , round, Victoria sponge, up to                            £120 for a highly decorated round cake with figures in a luxury flavour

         Cupcakes

      The price of cupcakes depends on the level of decoration , which can be from a buttercream swirl, to highly                                   decorated cupcakes including personalised , embossed toppers and edible prints.

           Boxes of 6 Cupcakes                     £18 - £23

           Boxes of 12 Cupcakes                   £30 - £36

 

    

          Wedding cakes

       The price of a bespoke Wedding Cake is dependent upon many factors, so here are some guidelines to consider                           when applying for a Wedding Cake Quote via the contact form or email.

          * Buttercream or Fondant cake

          * Number of tiers - most popular are a three tier10", 8" and 6" or a two tier 8" and 6", but you can have up to              five              tiers

          * Decorations - fresh flowers, silk flowers or sugar craft flowers, fondant models, stencilling, drip etc

          * Cake Stand - sometimes provided by the venue

          * Custom cake topper

          * Delivery and set up - it is advised that your cake is transported and set up at the venue by 48 Bakes Cake                                      Studio, to ensure that it arrives safely and is set up correctly at the venue.

     

         All interested brides are offered a Wedding Cake Taster Box to try a range of cake sponge flavours. The price of the box is            £20 and is deducted from the price of your cake if you choose to place an order.
